Overview

Operated since mid-April 2017, Athena Cruise seeks to deliver a one-of-its kind trip to the natural world heritage site of Halong Bay. There are 4 types of cabins spreading over 3 decks: Executive suites, Elegant Suite, Terrace suite and Family Suite.

Restaurants and sundecks are both spacious and well-equipped to make sure you will enjoy every single moment being on board. You can spend your leisure time reading books or watching sunset with 360 degree view from the top deck, or indulge in luxury spa service.

All staffs of Athena are well trained and always try to go out of their way to keep their inhouse guests happy all throughout the trip.

1 Day 1: Hanoi - Bai Tu Long

Morning

Transfer to Halong Bay (shuttle bus or private car, not included in cabin price).

Afternoon

Take a tender to the main vessel. Be warmly welcomed by friendly crews and receive a complimentary drink with brief introduction and safety guidelines. Check in your cabin and enjoy lunch. Arrive at Cong Do area then transfer by tender to visit Thien Canh Son Cave. As the cruise heads further into Bai Tu Long Bay you will enjoy the magnetic beauty of this world wonder.

Return to boat and sail to Cap La island where you can kayak for about 45 minutes.

Evening

In early evening you can enjoy Happy Hour on sundeck, or learn how to make Vietnamese food with the cooking class. Later dinner will be served and followed by free time for dinner activity.

1 Day 2: Bai Tu Long Bay - Hanoi

Day 1 Day 1: Hanoi - Halong Bay

Morning Transfer to Halong Bay (shuttle bus or private car, not included in cabin price). The transfer will take about 4 hours and you are suggested to leave Hanoi by 8:00am or Hai Phong by 9:30am. Afternoon Take a tender to the main vessel. Be warmly welcomed by friendly crews and receive a complimentary drink with brief introduction and safety guidelines. Check in your cabin and enjoy lunch. Head to Vung Vieng fishing village and learn about daily local life. As the cruise heads further into Bai Tu Long Bay you will enjoy the magnetic beauty of this world wonder. Evening In early evening you can enjoy Happy Hour on sundeck, or learn how to make Vietnamese food with the cooking class. Later dinner will be served and followed by free time for dinner activity.

Day 2 Day 2: Cong Dam Area- Bai Tu Long Bay

Trip cancellation due to bad weather in Halong Bay:
The cancellation decision is made by Management Board of Halong Bay on the day of the trip in case of bad weather conditions. In such case, we will make alternative travel arrangement for you on request or offer refund in accordance with the cruise policy (Read more about cancellation due to bad weather).

- More than 30 days prior to check-in: free of charge
- From 30 to 7 days prior to check-in: 10% of total rates
- From 6 to 3 days prior to check in: 50% of total rates.
- Less than 3 days prior to check-in: 100% of total rates.
- No-Show: 100% of total rates.
Cancellation notice must be in written form and send to us via email. Refund will be processed between 5-7 business days.
More than 30 days prior to check-in: free of charge
From 30 to 7 days prior to check-in: 10% of total rates
From 6 to 3 days prior to check in: 50% of total rates.
Less than 3 days prior to check-in: 100% of total rates.
No-Show: 100% of total rates.

Cruise policy

Arrival in Hanoi: 16:30pm
Free of charge for children under 5 years old is applicable for 1 (one) child sharing a cabin with 2 (two) adults (No extra Mattress)
The Child Rate for children from 5 to below 12 years old is applicable for 1 (one) child sharing a cabin with 2 (two) adults: 75% Adult rate (No extra Mattress)
Two children below 12 years sharing private cabin get 25% discount from adult cabin rate.
Kayaking is free of charge for 3 day 2 night trip. For 2 day 1 night trip, kayaking fee $10/person applies and must be booked in advance.
Peak season surcharge: Surcharge of $50 per person applies if guests stay overnight on December 24th and/or December 31st.
