Overview

Dragon Pearl Junk has stood on top recommendation list of Halong Bay Cruise ever since it started operation. Despite its modest design and standard amenities, it is the staff’s attention to details and unique cruise program that have earned its reputation. Dragon Pearl crews always try to make you feel comfortable on board and ensure that you enjoy the trip to the fullest. As for the program, you will be cruising mainly in Bai Tu Long area, where you can see more of Halong and less of tourists.

There are a total of 3 vessels named Dragon Pearl Junk, each with 11 well appointed cabins, with fine woodwork cutting through the architecture and interior decoration. The common area can seat up to 36 and perfect for any cruiser looking forward to venturing out Halong Bay. The sundeck on top of the cruise is great for phototaking, sunset watching or simply resting.

1 Day 1: Hanoi - Bai Tu Long Bay

Morning:

Our guide picks you up at your hotel in Hanoi at 8:00 and travel to Ha Long on our bus ( transfer not included in cabin price). The trip is long but enjoyable with beautiful sceneries of Vietnam’s nature: romantic rivers, grandiose mountains, lush green paddy fields, etc. Arrive at Hon Gai Harbor by noon.

Afternoon:

After checking-in and enjoy welcoming drink on board is the lunch time with delicious freash seafood menu. The junk starts cruising around the magnificent Bai Tu Long Bay where you might admire unique formations of islets of the Bay.

Continue the cruise by visiting the primitive cave of Thien Son. Move to Hon Co Island where you may relax on a white sandy beach or swim or kayak before returning to the junk in late afternoon.

Evening:

Anchor at a peaceful area on the Bay for dinner and overnight on boat.

1 Day 2: Bai Tu Long Bay - Hanoi

Day 1 Day 1: Hanoi - Bai Tu Long Bay

Morning:

Our guide picks you up at your hotel in Hanoi at 8:00 and travel to Ha Long on our bus (transfer by shuttle bus or private vehicle, not included in cabin price). The trip is long but enjoyable with beautiful sceneries of Vietnam’s nature: romantic rivers, grandiose mountains, lush green paddy fields, etc. Arrive at Yen Duc village and have lunch at the village. Enjoy half an hour watching water puppet show. Continue the trip to Halong Bay and arrive at Hon Gai Pier at 1:00 pm.

Afternoon:

After checking-in the junk starts cruising around the magnificent Bai Tu Long Bay where you might admire unique formations of islets of the Bay. Cap La area is the destination of the day where you would kayak and enjoy sea activities like sunbathing and swimming.

Evening:

Back to the Dragon Pearl Junk, anchor at a peaceful area on the Bay for dinner and overnight on boat. Anchor in Cong Do area.

Day 2 Day 2: Cong Dam Area - Overnight on board

Day 3 Day 3: Vung Vieng fishing village - Hanoi

Trip cancellation due to bad weather in Halong Bay:
The cancellation decision is made by Management Board of Halong Bay on the day of the trip in case of bad weather conditions. In such case, we will make alternative travel arrangement for you on request or offer refund in accordance with the cruise policy (Read more about cancellation due to bad weather).

Cruise Policy

Check in on board: 12:30pm
Check out: 12:00pm
Return Hanoi: 5:30pm
The FOC rate for children under 5 years old is applicable for 1 (one) child sharing a cabin with 2 (two) adults. Only 1 (one) child under 5 years old traveling with two (2) adults is allowed for FOC per cabin.
Children from 5-11 will pay extra charge 75% of adult rate. Children 12 and above must pay full fare as adult.
Extra bed is not available for either child or adult
Peak season surcharge: Not any
Shuttle bus: $35/ adult and $25/ child round trip. Shuttle luxury van available: $40/adult and $30/child. Pick up point: at hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter or in front of Hanoi Opera House

Booking Policy

More than 30 days prior to check-in: free of charge
From 30 to 7 days prior to check-in: 10% of total rates
From 6 to 3 days prior to check in: 50% of total rates.
Less than 3 days prior to check-in: 100% of total rates.
No-Show: 100% of total rates.
Cancellation notice must be in written form and send to us via email. Refund will be processed between 5-7 business days.
