Overview

Launched in 2003, Emeraude Cruise is the first yacht designed as a direct inspiration from the ancient cruising activity. Lying inside the establishment of Emeraude Cruise is an interesting story of its French owner, Eric Merlin who accidentally discovered the existence of a magnificent fleet of four single-wheeled paddle steamers, namely Emeraude, Perle, Saphir and Rubis, which operated in Halong and other regions of Vietnam from 1906 to 1945 from a black and white postcard he bought in France.

Unique in history, Emeraude Cruise has also made its own legend through its operation: the able hand of its captain, the luxury room and suites, the story about Halong that is told via its itinerary. A trip with Emeraude Cruise will not only spark light on the natural beauty, but also the past century of culture heritage of Vietnam.

1 Day 1: Hanoi - Halong Bay

Morning

Our guide picks you up at your hotel in Hanoi at 8:00, then get on the car for a 3-hours trip to Halong (transfer not included in price). The trip is a great opportunity for you to sightseeing the wildlife of Vietnam with lush green forest and grandiose carbon mountains on road sides. Arrive at the harbor to check in at Emeraude Café by noon.

Afternoon

Start embarking right after welcome drink and safety instruction. While you are contemplating the breathtaking scenery of Halong, the Vietnamese and International Buffet Lunch is ready.

Heading toward the first destination of the day by 15:00, which is Sung Sot (Surprise) Cave. The cave is the most beautiful and primitive cave in Halong, which possesses majestic formation of stalactites and stalagmites. The trip continues to a fishing village before coming back the cruise ship for kayaking or swimming.

Another awaiting activity is Vietnamese fresh spring roll cooking class on the sundeck at 18:00.

Evening

Take you free time for refreshment and bathing before enjoy another menu of Vietnamese and European delicacies for dinner buffet. The rest time of the night is flexible for you to either integrate in social activities like board games with friends or exotic squid fishing with our tour guide.

1 Day 2: Halong Bay - Hanoi

Day 1 Day 1: Hanoi - Halong Bay

Morning

Our guide pick you up at your hotel at 8:00AM and we’ll get on the van to Halong (transfer price not included in cabin fare). Take some photos of the rustic sceneries of Vietnam, your 3-hour trip would become much shorter. Arrive at Emeraude Café for check-in by noon and start embarking immediately.

Afternoon

Right after the captain raises the anchor, the cruise begins with a sumptuous Vietnamese and International Buffet Lunch while contemplating breathtaking landscape of Halong Bay. In the afternoon, there would be excursion to Sung Sot Grotto of mystic formation of stalactites and fishing village where you might see dozens of aquatic species.

Return to the main boat by 15:00 for exciting activities on the Sundeck: crepe station, Vietnamese cooking class and kayaking or swimming from the boat.

Evening

Enjoy another delighting meal with a different menu of Vietnamese and European buffet. The rest of the night is for playgroups or relax at on-board spa.

The cancellation decision is made by Management Board of Halong Bay on the day of the trip in case of bad weather conditions. Peak season surcharge: Surcharge of $45 per person applies if guests stay overnight on December 24th and/or December 31st.
